Wenu Terms and Conditions of Use

Version: bozza-2026-10-29 · Last updated: October 29, 2026

DRAFT — This text was written by Claude, an artificial intelligence, and not by a lawyer: it is not legal advice and must be reviewed by a professional before publication.

This is a courtesy translation. The Italian version is the legally binding one: in case of any discrepancy, the Italian text prevails.

In short

This summary helps you find your way around and does not replace the full text.

  • Wenu is free and helps you plan the week’s meals, on your own or with other people.
  • You must be at least 18 years old to use it.
  • The content you enter remains yours: we use it only to make the app work for you.
  • Information on nutrition and food storage is for guidance only: it does not replace your doctor, your nutritionist or the product label.
  • The suggestions made by reading with artificial intelligence may contain errors: only what you confirm goes into the plan.
  • You can delete your account at any time, from the app.

1. Who provides the service

The “Wenu” service (the “App” or the “Service”) is provided jointly, under the name Arè Labs, by Mauro Giuseppe Mazzola, Via Ferdinando Cafiero 9, 76121 Barletta (BT), Italy, tax code MZZMGS94C14L109B, and Alberto Cassano, Via Cesare Dante Cioce 21, 76121 Barletta (BT), Italy, tax code CSSLRT93S04L328B (hereinafter “we”).

For any communication you can write to arelabs.bt@gmail.com. The same address is the single point of contact for users and for authorities required by Articles 11 and 12 of Regulation (EU) 2022/2065 on digital services. Languages: Italian and English.

2. What the App offers

The App lets you:

  • plan the week’s meals: days, meals, courses, dishes, ingredients and quantities;
  • specify who is eating and what each person eats;
  • prepare and manage the shopping list, including from the plan;
  • share a plan with other people, inviting them by email with different roles;
  • fill in the week by dictating it, writing it or from a document (a diet, a menu, a recipe), read by an artificial intelligence;
  • receive reminders on your phone for dishes and ingredients;
  • ask Alexa, if you link it, what is in the plan;
  • consult informational tools, such as the “Week balance”.

The App also includes: the food sticker album; shopping ordered by perishability; the week’s weather; dishes to bring back; the week postcard.

The Service is free. Any paid features will be governed by additional terms, which we will show you and ask you to accept before any purchase.

3. Who can use the App and how these Terms are accepted

  • You must be at least 18 years old to use the App.
  • You accept these Terms by ticking the relevant box during registration or, if you sign in with Google or Facebook, by confirming them the first time you sign in. If you do not accept them, you cannot use the Service.
  • The contract is concluded in Italian. The text is always available in the App (Profile → Terms and conditions) and at https://wenuplanner.app/termini (English translation: https://wenuplanner.app/en/terms). We keep the version you accepted and the date of acceptance.
  • The English translation is provided for convenience: in case of discrepancy, the Italian text prevails.

Privacy notice

4. Your account

  • You can register with email and password, or with a Google or Facebook account: in that case the terms of the relevant provider also apply.
  • You must provide a valid email address that belongs to you and is not temporary: “disposable” addresses are not accepted. If you register with email and password, you must verify the address using the link we send you.
  • Keep your credentials safe: you are responsible for the use of your account. If you suspect unauthorized access, change your password and write to us.
  • To protect accounts, after a number of failed sign-in attempts, sign-in is blocked for a limited time.

5. The content you enter

  • Plans, dishes, ingredients, shopping lists and the other content you enter remain yours.
  • To provide the Service, you grant us, for the whole duration of our relationship, a free, non-exclusive and limited license to store, process and display your content to you and to the people you share the plan with. We do not use it for other purposes and we do not sell it.
  • Do not enter content that is unlawful, offensive or that infringes the rights of others. The text fields are for organizing meals.
  • Other people’s data. If you enter the name of a person eating with you or the email of a person to invite, you guarantee that you are entitled to do so and that you have informed them (see the Privacy notice). You may enter data about minors only if you exercise parental responsibility over them or with the consent of the person who does. We recommend using a first name or a nickname.

6. Shared plans

  • A plan can have an owner, editors (who can modify it) and readers (who can view it).
  • All members of a plan see its content, including the names of the diners and the roles of the other members.
  • Whoever sends an invitation is responsible for inviting only people who want to be invited. Each invited person receives an email with the invitation.
  • You can leave a plan you do not own at any time: open the plan, go to the Table tab and tap “Leave plan”, at the bottom. The content you entered stays in the plan. The owner can also remove you from the members; to leave, on the other hand, the owner must first hand ownership over to another member or delete the plan.
  • If you delete your account, each shared plan you own passes to the member who accepted the invitation longest ago, giving priority to those with the editor role; if the plan has no other members, it is deleted. The content you entered in a shared plan therefore remains available to the other members.

7. Nutrition, health and food storage

  • The “Week balance” compares the plan with the consumption frequencies set out in the CREA Guidelines for healthy eating (2018 revision), which refer to a healthy adult with a requirement of about 2000 kcal. It is general information: it does not take into account age, pregnancy, breastfeeding, illnesses, allergies or intolerances.
  • The App does not provide personalized medical or nutritional advice and does not replace the opinion of a doctor, a pediatrician or a nutrition professional.
  • The App does not know or check allergens and intolerances: checking the ingredients remains your responsibility.
  • Shopping order. The information on how long foods last consists of general estimates for fresh products stored correctly. The expiry date and the instructions on the label always prevail. The estimates are not a guarantee of food safety.
  • Food sticker album. The album is a game to encourage tasting. You decide which foods are suitable for the child, based on age, allergies and family habits. Some foods pose a choking risk for young children (for example whole nuts).
  • Weather. Weather forecasts are provided by a third party (MET Norway) and may be inaccurate; the suggestions based on them are for guidance only.

8. Reading with artificial intelligence

You can fill in the week by dictating it, writing it or uploading a document: a diet, the canteen menu, a recipe, a photo of a menu. The text or the document is read by an artificial intelligence from an external provider, Anthropic, as explained in the Privacy notice.

  • What the reading produces are suggestions, and they may contain errors: a wrong dish, quantity, day or diner, or a missing item. You see them in a preview, where you can choose and correct them, and only what you confirm goes into the plan. Check them before confirming, especially if you follow a prescribed diet.
  • The reading brings into the plan what is written: it does not assess, interpret or correct the instructions of a doctor or a nutritionist.
  • Upload only documents you are entitled to use, such as the diet prescribed to you or a public menu, and if you can, remove what the week does not need: names of doctors, diagnoses, test results.
  • Before reading a document we ask for a separate consent, which you can withdraw from the Profile. Voice and written text do not require it.
  • Reading is free, within limits: for example how many documents and dictations per month, how large a file can be and how many pages it can have. In the first days after registration the limits are lower. We may change them, or suspend reading, for technical, cost or security reasons.

The consent to document reading

9. Reminders and the Alexa link

  • Reminders. For a dish or an ingredient you can ask the App to remind you to eat it, prepare it or buy it. Your phone schedules them and they ring only there, if the phone allows it: with notifications turned off, battery saving, “Do not disturb” mode or too many reminders at once, they may arrive late or not at all. Do not rely on them alone for anything concerning health or food safety.
  • Alexa. If you have a device with Alexa, you can link your account and ask it out loud what is in the plan. The link is optional: you set it up from the Profile in the App or from the Alexa app, and Amazon’s terms also apply to its use.
  • Alexa can only read your favorite plan, not change it. It may misunderstand a question: if in doubt, check the plan in the App.
  • You can unlink Alexa at any time, from the Profile (“Unlink Alexa”) or from the Alexa app. What Amazon receives is explained in the Privacy notice.

Privacy notice

10. Proper use of the Service

You may not:

  • use the Service in breach of the law or of the rights of others;
  • access, or attempt to access, accounts, plans or systems without authorization;
  • interfere with the operation of the Service (attacks, overloading, mass automated access, automated data collection);
  • circumvent security measures or technical limits;
  • decompile or modify the App, except to the extent mandatorily permitted by law;
  • use invitations to send unwanted communications.

11. Reports, suspension and closure of the account

  • Reporting unlawful content. Write to arelabs.bt@gmail.com stating why you believe the content is unlawful, where it is (name of the plan and of the item), your name and your email address (except where the law does not require them) and a statement of good faith about the accuracy of the report. We will confirm receipt and inform you of our decision.
  • If we restrict content or suspend an account, we explain the reasons to the person concerned and how to contest the decision by replying to our communication. Appeals are reviewed by a person, not only by automated means.
  • We may suspend or close an account in case of serious or repeated breaches of these Terms, with notice where possible.
  • If we become aware of information giving rise to a suspicion of a criminal offence threatening the life or safety of persons, we inform the competent authorities.
  • You can delete your account at any time from the App (Profile → Delete account) or by writing to us. What happens to the data is explained in section 6 and in the Privacy notice.

How to delete your account and data

12. Availability and changes to the Service

  • We do our best to keep the Service available, but there may be interruptions due to maintenance, faults or causes beyond our control.
  • We may change or withdraw features to improve the Service or for technical or legal reasons.
  • If we decide to close the Service, we will tell you with at least 30 days’ notice, and you will be able to ask us for a copy of your data.

13. Intellectual property

  • The App, its name, its look and the software belong to us or to our licensors.
  • The App includes third-party components, distributed under their own licenses and listed in Profile → Licenses: among them the icons derived from Microsoft’s Fluent Emoji (MIT license) and the Gabarito and Figtree fonts (SIL Open Font License 1.1), the weather data from MET Norway and the geographic data from GeoNames, licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0.

14. Liability

  • The Service is free and is provided as is, to the extent permitted by law.
  • We are not liable for content entered by users, for third-party services (for example Google, Facebook, Amazon Alexa, the app stores or connectivity providers) or for damage due to force majeure.
  • Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for wilful misconduct or gross negligence (Article 1229 of the Italian Civil Code), for personal injury caused by our negligence, or the rights that the law grants you as a consumer and that cannot be excluded.

15. Changes to the Terms

We may change these Terms due to changes in the Service or in the law.

  • We present substantial changes to you in the App, with a summary of what is changing, and ask you to accept them the next time you sign in. Until then you will not be able to use the Service, but you will always be able to delete your account.
  • Corrections that do not change your rights (typos, clarifications) only update the “last updated” date.

16. Withdrawal

The contract is free of charge and of indefinite duration. You can withdraw at any time, at no cost and without having to give a reason, by deleting your account or by writing to us. This includes the right of withdrawal provided for by Articles 52 et seq. of the Italian Consumer Code (Codice del Consumo).

17. App Store and Google Play

If you downloaded the App from Apple’s App Store or from Google Play, the store’s terms also apply to downloading the App and to using it as software (for the App Store, Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement). Apple and Google are not parties to these Terms and are not responsible for the Service.

18. Governing law and disputes

  • These Terms are governed by Italian law. If you are a consumer resident in another country of the European Union, you keep the mandatory protections provided by the law of your country.
  • For disputes with a consumer, the competent court is that of the consumer’s place of residence or domicile (Article 66-bis of the Italian Consumer Code, Codice del Consumo).
  • Before going to court you can write to us: we will look for a solution together. You can also turn to a recognized alternative dispute resolution (ADR) body.
